Youth

Most of my experience has been working with kids, families, and teens, whether in camps, homeschool programs, field trips, or drop-in family days; ranging from art museums, history museums, to aviation museums.

Camp Taliesin West

Winter Wonders | Spring Gimme Shelter | Summer

Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation - Taliesin West, Scottsdale, AZ | Winter 2021/22, Spring 2022, Summer 2022

For the first-time ever Taliesin West offered its community a Winter and Spring break camp. For both I was instrumental in developing the activities and assisting in the facilitation of camp lessons. For the Summer, I revamped previous camp curriculum and wrote new lessons for 2 brand new camps.

Homeschool Explorations

Why Are Blueprints Blue?

Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation - Taliesin West, Scottsdale, AZ | October 2021 - April 2022

For the first-time ever Taliesin West offered a program specifically designed for homeschool families. Alongside my supervisor, we created 12 lessons for kids 6-8 and 9-11. I was responsible for writing 6 of the lessons and facilitating those programs.

SAM Camp:

Global Voyages | Earth Guardian | Inventive Builders

Seattle Art Museum, Seattle, WA | Summer 2019

For the summer I had the pleasure of engaging kindergarten kids through 6th grade in art making. Each week there was a different theme and associated activities and gallery explorations.

Aerospace Camp Experience (ace):

Aviation

Museum of Flight, Seattle WA | Summer 2018

I researched and developed educational activities/crafts for 11 aviation-themed camps resulting in over 150 hours of programming reaching K-6 students.

Maker Day:

Pinhole Cameras with Janet Neuhauser

Museum of History & Industry, Seattle WA | Spring 2018

Every month the Education Department works with local artists, inventors, etc. to engage family with fun activities! For this particular program, we were joined by photographer Janet Neuhauser to learn about the history of pinhole photography and build a pinhole camera to take home and try!

Teen Art Council

Bellevue Arts Museum, Bellevue WA | 2018-2019

In addition to helping the Education Coordinator plan and facilitate bi-monthly meetings (filled with conversation and often activities) and special teen workshops, I guided the exhibitions team in defining themes, selecting teen artists, executing installation, and opening reception for 20 Under 20 Spring Exhibition.
